Also check out other news:
Todays GLOBE magazine has a front-page article on Obamas fake birth certificate, but it features Pam Geller and TechDudes bogus analysis. Theres a paragraph about Polarik who confirms TechDudes forgery findings who also claims that Obamas birth certificate was made from Patricia Decostas, referring to Polarik’s July 27, 2008 posting.

Obama birth doc update: Kenya sources weigh in
Comparison with similar certificates suggests fakery, WND probe reveals
NEW YORK The Kenyan birth document released by California attorney Orly Taitz is probably not authentic, according to WND’s investigative operatives in Africa, though officials in Nairobi do not rule out the possibility President Obama may indeed have been born in their country.

Observe that the copy of the BC they are dealing with is the one that had been hacked on site--that is, the initials were changed to soap from the real person's initials; and the real person is known from a picture taken in Uganda at some other date.
Most of these comments don't address the actual certificate but are "would have been" comments. Many of them result from circumstances in the Coastal Province area in the late 1963--early 1964 period.
On one hand, I am now reluctant to post sources because every time I do, and then go back to use it again somewhere else, the source has been erased or modified. But I can't be the only person here who has done research on this issue about Republic of Kenya; State or Province or whatever.
The Coastal region was a province of Zanzibar. In October of 1963, at the instigation of the Brits, Zanzibar ceded the province to "the Republic of Kenya" which of course did not exist at that time. Immediately, all the institutions in the area changed their name to Republic of Kenya and that was done, according to local news, in part because there was concern that the Brits or Zanzibar might change the deal.
It appears that the name of the hospital where Obama was born was also changed at that date from "Coast Provincial General Hospital" to "Coast General Hospital"--I can't confirm the date on which that happened but that is about the time the name change starts being reflected.
And, late 63 and early 64 is a period in which administrative changes were being reflected by all of the public agencies in the area--so who knows exactly what forms were in use on what date.
It is in fact, only a Birth Certificate--better than the Hawaii COLB in this respect: The Hawaii COLB was not a certificate of facts relating to the birth of the individual but only of a statement by a person with knowledge; the Kenya Certificate certifies the ordinary agency records.
Obviously, a better document would be a certified copy of the registry which would reflect additional information including the doctor and other data. There is some indication that such a document exists and has been in some limited circulation in DC since early last year. I don't have a copy.
It wouldn't surprise anybody to learn that in fact, the original has been removed from the registry. On the other hand, if secondary data is all that is available, it may turn out to be reliable best evidence.
Given the fact that this particular document has a historical provenience, I tend to believe it is probably real.
