The point is, why issue one at all? To whom? Why not name the source? Was it related to the divorce? Dunham filed for divorce in January 1964, Obama signed off uncontested, divorce final. There was no need to get a birth certificate, much less one from Kenya, which had only been a country for 2 months at the time, much less from a hospital in Mombasa that had only been broken away from Zanzibar for the same two months. And why have the baby in Mombasa, with no international airport at the time, 1,000 miles away from the Obama family village? Why not nearby Nairobi? At the time of Obama's birth, Mombasa was a part of the state of Zanzibar, another error on the doc. No, it's bogus.

The Birth Certificate was necessary because Hawaii Court rules, like those of most other jurisdictions, require a birth certificate of minor children in ex parte divorce proceedings.

Reason she went to Coast General Hospital is because it was staffed by the British Colonial Service doctors who were competent. The woman doctor who delivered Obama has her name on the original birth document file and she was alive and well and her location was known at some point in recent history. She was aware that the situation involves a threat to her life.

The part about Mombasa is fuzzed up--Coastal Province was part of Zanzibar until the agreement of October, 1963 at which point Zanzibar relinquished and ceded control over the area to the Republic of Kenya which did not yet exist. Immediately, all of the civil functionaries in Coastal Province changed their name to Republic of Kenya. These events are detailed in the local press and in history of the area and are all generally understood. I assume that is why the word "Province" came out of the hospital's name also.

David, you and many others are very good at painting "facts" and suppositions and making the weave look tighter and tighter giving this narrative an appearance of legitimacy. And.....you may be right about O... But none of you, Birthers and all will talk directly to the biggest problem with all this in over 6,000 comments:

Bottom line, if the doc's are real they would hve been requested by family back in 1964, held by family for 45 years and offered up only by a family connection of some kind.

Where is the chain of custody for the birth docs if they are real? It would be a very short chain.... One link....

No responsible lawyer or journalist would present them, much less enter them as court evidence without at least a minimum discussion of where 45 year old docs came from.

Focus on that one issue, if you can explain that, O's house of cards comes tumbling down.

The doctor who delivered him is still living? I have never heard that before, but it certainly isn't unreasonable. Several of Stanley Ann's teachers from Mercer Island are still alive. I can understand that the doctor would be a serious problem, not just to Barack, but a threat to trillions of dollars his gang is redirecting. But if you know of her existence isn't it reasonable that others do as well? She could be as important as a birth certificate to learning the truth of Obama’s birth, irrelevant though it may seem because of Barack Seniors British citizenship.

Since Barack, together with his KGB trained cousin, Odinga, were campaigning to force Kenya, a Christian Republic, into accepting Sharia law, it may be that the Kenyan government will be reluctant to cauterize their files to protect him. The Taitz document does provide tracking numbers, and reconstructing a large volume of birth certificates could be next to impossible, with so many copies already in circulation.

Is it possible that original documents have been cataloged in Britain, or elsewhere? There have certainly been many documents in U.S. archives microfilmed or digitized (which I presume was the case with the Obama passport files “cauterized” last year in State Department Archives). I'm not in that business, but know there are conservative protocols about documents such as those Sandy Burglar secreted in his pants to facilitate removal from the National Archives. I can't imagine that those documents weren't photographed, or digitally scanned.
