Just a curious question, I'm in no means an expert, but since this is supposedly done in Australia, wouldn't the measurements be in the metric system? (specifically the resolution unit)

(specifically the resolution unit) Yes, Australia is on the metric system. However, I believe that the use of "DPI" is pretty much universal in scanner software, even in countries using the metric system. (For what it is worth, I believe that LEAD Technologies is based here in the U.S.)
