Excellent Ruby!! You have just shown that even before the Independence Declaration in December 1963, Kenya was referring to itself as a REPUBLIC.

And it’s the London Times no less.

I think this settles the Republic of Kenya issue. At least in my opinion, which isn’t really worth much I guess. lol

... They announced their decision to do so. That means they decided they ought to. That’s not the same as formally establishing a Republic (which, indeed, they did not do for a year after that date).
