Fred’s thesis is that Stanley Ann was early admitted to a combined degree program at University of Chicago in the fall of 1959 where she attended at least the 59-60 year for which she received her Mercer Island diploma as a member of the class of 1960.

...In Dreams from My Father we were told she had obtained early acceptance to attend university in Chicago, but her parents wouldn't let her go...what 'Dreams' forgot to mention is that Madelyn's brother, Charles T Payne was deputy director of the library of the University of Chicago. Uncle Charles and his wife Melanie lived in Hyde Park.

Her Uncle Charles was still at that same university when zero was there as an adjunct lecturer before he attended Harvard.

Stanley Ann Dunham didn't show up in Hawaii until 1963 when she changed her name on Social Security to Ann Dunham Obama , was photographed with zero as a toddler and enrolled at the university in Hawaii.
