To the best of my recollection...in 'Dreams' we were told that the student from Kenya, Barack Hussein Obama, met Stanley Ann Dunham in a Russian class in Honolulu. One intrepid freeper (Chief Engineer,) actually managed to find a trace of two Russian expat women who gave Russian Language lessons, though not as part of the university curriculum... It might make more sense to refer to the individuals in this story by their names, and leave out the relationships which are doubtful. Neither characters, the Kenyan student and the daughter of Madelyn and Stanley Armour Dunham appear to be the natural parents of Obama.
When Barrack Hussein Obama arrived from Kenya in 1959 he came at a time when Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, father of Raila Odinga, had given up his 'kingship' (chieftain?) was Vice President of Kenya and in good stead with Khrushchev:
