On a side note, it’s painful to observe which posters have never been to a four yr college/university. I’m trying to imagine the kind of conspiracy they cd work up from my transcripts. Oh good heavens! I didn’t take my first philosophy course until the summer *following* my sophomore yr! Oh noes; my transcript must be forged!
At UoHI, it’s not necessary to declare a major until the beginning of the junior yr. Same at many universities. Though I will say for the panic crowd that if SADO had majored in math at MIT she’d have had a lot more of it prior to the junior yr. But that’s why it’s MIT & other schools aren’t.
Come to think of it, does MIT even have a math major? I think they do; it’s called ‘physics’.
Just kidding. Of course MIT has a math major. It just gets less respect than physics.
Anyway, hate to break it to the fevered forgery crowd, but at UoHI freshmen & sophomore yrs are for general credits; the major doesn’t kick in until the junior yr. Fyi.
