How about just having a “History Month” since we are all Americans?
Having an exclusive “black’ month is racism perpetuatal.
Let’s teach “American History”. It is all inclusive.
America is not all about black people. Everyone has contributed something.
Feb. was originally American History Month because of the birthdays of Washington and Lincoln. Black History Month began as Negro History Week, one week in Feb. to remember the contributions of Blacks to American history.
Now American History Month is as extinct as Washington's Birthday, replaced by the new nationalism of the "oppressed."
