The geological evidence would be more substantial. Additionally, the lack of photographic evidence is consistent with the eyewitness reports of their state of mind. Being able to perceive, yet incapacitated to perform much more than fall to the ground with emotion.
Which, interestingly, is an extremely common part of the phenomenon.
Or, cameras are mysteriously forgotten and ignored within arm’s reach . . . or malfunction.
Or, distance, time of day, weather, AND/OR propulsion dynamics involving ionization of the surface air layers etc. of the craft prevent sharp focus.
Or, photos and videos are stolen out of houses, cars or brazenly demanded by mysterious ‘persons.’
