Animus? Pointing out that you're whining again is animus? Refusing to feel sympathy for people who would not have suffered if their own leaders had not started a war is animus? My God, you Southerners do so love to wallow in your self-pity, don't you?

My kin on my father's side came over around the turn of the century so you could not have killed, maimed, wounded, raped, or owned any of them. On my mother's side I'm aware of only one relative who was killed in the war, a Unionist in eastern Tennessee who was lynched by some of Isham Harris's men. So dive into that family tree and do the math. If any of your kin were in the area at the time and were murderous enough to do the deed then apology accepted.
