I've read them both and found the Quidditch one worthless. The information in "Magical Beasts" has all pretty much been transcribed to the Harry Potter Lexicon website.

2009 sounds about right for the encyclopedia.

Wow, Cholera thanks for telling me about the Lexicon website! I didn’t know about it and googled it and love the info. that it contains. It’s like the Encyclopedia that Rowling talked about writing.
