It’s tacky, and somewhat disgusting, and was only funny like the first 100000 times, but I can not get too offended over it. On a side note, I really do not like “I’d hit it” as a language choice. Why ‘hit’?

I read that there was an earlier variant started with the phrase “Did you tap it”? It became “I’d tap it”. My guess is someone decided that instead of just tapping, they’d hit it, not realising that the word “tap” had another meaning.

Oddly, I’m watching repeats of “Kyle XY” tonight, and after the sleaze guy Decklin has sex with the girl, his friend walks up to him and says “so, you tapped that”? I didn’t know what that meant when I saw the show last year, but now I do.
