Interesting point, but in the general they would not just disqualify, but defeat them.
Which is one more reason we can save ourselves a lot of trouble.
This is the primary season, and Mitt, Newt, Rudy, Mc Cain, have all been shot down, blue on blue. Is this doing the Dems work for them, or is it doing our work for us?
There is no way we will come up with a winning candidate if the Dems can shoot them down, and you can bet the Hillary excavators are digging every hint of dirt, anything they could possibly use on all potential candidates.
What else would we expect from the crew who stole over 900 FBI raw data files on leading Republicans and fed them into the DNC computers via a LAN from the White House? We had better expose our candidates weaknesses, every one and decide if they are ones we can not only live with, but win with--well before the general, or they will use those same weaknesses to mop the floor with our people in November of '08.
But the problem remains that there's no viable "true conservative" waiting in the wings.
Newt and Fred won't get off their backsides and make a decision. The others don't really have a prayer of gaining the nomination.
I've said multiple times that Rudy was not my first choice (but my first choice imploded). And there's a lot I disagree with Rudy about and some things I don't like.
But of those who are in the race I think his leadership, his stance on the War on Terror and yes, his fiscal conservatism are far and above the rest of the crop.
The bottom line is, debate him on the issues. But don't make crap up.
That makes our side no better than the left.
