I have been upset for a couple of weeks about what has happened to Free Republic. People used to be allowed to have different points of view. Now, certain people have free reign to call people names, deride Republican candidates and generally say whatever nonsense they feel like while others are getting banned for disagreeing. I will not be contributing this time even though I have written a nice check every quarter for years because I thought this was a place I could support. Instead, in the name of all the hateful, ugly people on this forum, I donated the money to Rudy. I’m not even sure that I will vote for him but I figured he deserved the contribution for the abuse he was taking from fellow Republicans. Had I known what was going on with Romney, I would have donated the money to him in the name of hateful people on FR.

Maybe you can put a stop payment on the check.. if that is how you donated ;-)
seems like an emotional response that in the end, only punishes the forum and those here at FR that do play fair, or try to anyway. jmo
I cannot help but notice, though, that when Rudy's past record is brought up, with its notably unconservative actions, initiatives, and statements, that somehow this is considered "abuse".
The credibility of a political statement is ordinarily inversely proportional to the proximity of the election. This time, however, the campaign has begun early.
The only way to know where the candidates stand is to seek out and discuss their prior records, warts and all.
If we do not, we can be assured the opposition will, especially in the general election campaign.
If that scrutiny is to be considered abusive, so be it. Failure to conduct it serves neither the party, the electorate, not the Republic.
Well dear, you finally decided this was the thread to expose the plan you all have made at your other gathering site. You know, the place where you plan your spin and vent your dislike for conservatives and people of faith.
Your whole post is hogwash and should embarass you.
You are also guilty of the same behavior you are so offended by.
Did you forget that you had already discussed this with Phikapmom before? Do you think you bided your time long enough till you found the right thread to annoy enough people in?
