Did anyone else just hate the whole telethon "woe is our poor world" night? I even told Simon “shut up” when he was going on about the supermarket. So nobody could sing a song about our country? At least Phil came close. Do you think they made them say all that kumbaya stuff in their openings?

I think this woe is me for the poor really sucks, I was AI for fun not to be told how awful life is for the people they choose to feel bad for — if I want to be enticed to give money I’ll go to a fund raiser for some charity

They are trying to make people feel guilty because we live in the greatest nation on earth.... They make us sound selfish, when in fact we are the most giving country the world has ever known.

I was listening to Jordin talk about “helping people” before her song...and she sounded so sincere.

Of course Simon gave Blake a pass on singing that horrible song, horribly, because he was SINCERE...

SO...I am thinking with their youth in mind..and the atmosphere they are living in right now..(Hollyweird)...that these people probably DO feel that they are making a difference.

It is the ignorance of youth, combined with the propaganda of liberalism....you add that into the most highly rated TV show...and that is what we are getting.

BUT, I don’t have to watch...I only watched for the same reason I watched last week...and the reason I will watch next week...to listen to the songs, critique them..and have fun on AI.

I have NO illusions that this is gonna do any more than put money in the pockets of whoever is running this shindig.

They are under contract to 19 Entertainment, which is the production company behind AI. So the answer is yes, although I'm sure some of them really are little budding Leftists anyway.
