I was VERY VERY surprised to see Gold Digger in the bottom two.
Despite whether you like her or not, she works hard and dances well. Add her handicap, she's an inspiration to the handicapped. There's redeeming virtue there, I don't care who you are.
That said, I'm still smitten with the Apollo/Julianne Samba. I've been a closet ballroom lurker all my life, much to the chagrin of Mrs Suhks, I'm just amazed at the level of talent it takes participate. For teenager Julianne to preform at that level and Apollo to rise to that level left me thinking this was THE best dance ever performed on DWTS.
I agree about Heather’s work ethic. Although we all disagree with her politics, Heather has indeed busted her hide learning ballroom dancing and overcoming her handicap to the point where it is hardly noticeable. There was a bit of a reality check when she fell at the end, but her effort has been incredible.
Also, Jonathon deserves props for his instruction and choreography. Man, I don’t know how he handled that wax job. I was in pain just watching that.
This is my first season following DWTS, but I think that if the judges could have, they would have given Apolo and Juilianne 11s. Possibly a 12. Apolo did a fantastic job with the samba, but Julianne was a showstopper. There is no amount of hyperbole that can describe her performance. That was as complete and tight as dance as I’ve seen. I was picking my jaw up from the floor, and Mrs. Lobsta wasn’t even pissed.
I agree 1000%....I was so happy they let those two kids dance their routine again last night....they were great!
