Hm — properly occluding teeth might help Elliot’s muscle function, but the veneers are going to resonate differently than teeth that haven’t been covered with something. Resonance is a BIG issue with singers. Really, unless his dentist is an experienced vocal coach as well as a dentist, I don’t think he can say for certain that changing the teeth will definitely *help* voice production. Anytime you go changing things in a singer’s mouth, nose, etc. (there’s a reason Streisand never got that schnoz of hers fixed!) it is something of a gamble.

That said, Elliot’s teeth were a train wreck. It never bothered me, but I understand that it bothered many people to look at them, and therefore something had to be done. Just not sure that veneers that make his teeth look so “whitey tighty” were quite the right answer. Still, what’s done is done, eh? How does he like them?

I guess he really likes them. I know that they were a source of embarassment for him and when you are kid who finds themselves unattractive then it shows.
