Just wait until tonight. AI is going to open up phone lines so the great unwashed Americans, selfish as they are, can donate money to saving the planet. What a load. It's going to make a PBS Beg-a-thon look like a Sunday School collection.

I have to tell you. Last Thursday morning I had surgery. When they wheeled me in the operating room, there were about 8 nurses, Dr.s just chatting. Want to know what they were talking about? SANJAYA! They were saying how glad they were he was booted off. LOL. I said I was glad too and the nurse by me said "Yes, it's a good thing". LOL!
I guess it really does have a large audience.

But there is another aspect to this: big entertainment wanting to showcase their talent in an era of declining sales of CD's and movie tickets, as well as declining ratings for broadcast TV networks.

I hadn't thought about that, but you're right, that's probably the real reason behind all this.
