I don’t know, but it’s an hour so you know they are going to draaaaaaaaag it out.
I wonder if Akon will be there for his weekly performance.

Wasn’t Bassey one who inspired Steph? I thought it was supposed to be songs that inspired her to sing. Do I have the wrong week?
To: Pure Country
Wrong week. Bassey was sung on British Invasion week.

What is with Seacrest tonight, defending that little idiot? Ryan got a new bed mate?
That's just Seacrest being Seacrest. I don't look into it any more than that. He just stirs up s--t and nags Cowell.

I WANT HEATHER GOLD DIGGER MILLS GONE!
Almost... Almost... I was surprised to see her in the bottom two last night.
I don't know if it's just me, but I'm finding DWTS more interesting than AI this season.
I was a little sad to see Clyde go, but I'm sure his knees are quite happy. Every time he tried to dance, he looked like he was in pain.

I know, but wasn’t she one of those that inspired Gwen? If not, I wonder who I am thinking of? So many questions...so little time!

I liked this part:
Or maybe Sanjaya Malakar (Age: 17. City: Federal Way, Wash.) just has friends in low places.
Like grade school.
“I like his hairstyles,” said Kathryn Smith, 7, of Westborough, Mass. She’s a regular voter for the kid who’s sported everything from a startling “ponyhawk” to curls that looked like a perm gone wrong. Really wrong.

Or a song by another AI winner.
Kiki made a huge mistake singing an Underwood song.
All she proved by singing “Jesus Take the Wheel” is that she doesn’t have the chops to win.

Hey kids! Had to miss the show live last night because of baseball practice.
My take on last night:
Jordin was great! Best of the night. Phil did wonderful which was great to see him in a comfort zone and really perform. I knew he had it in him. This might have helped him get a record deal in country music. Melinda, consistent as usual. Chris and Sanjaya were terrible and I was unimpressed with Lakisha as well.
After last night I am tending to agree with Simon that Jordin could potentially win this thing. She seems to me to be getting better all the time and has the most contemporary and broad appeal.
To: Pure Country
Could be, but she listed so many. I don’t think anyone did any Bassey that week though. That week was totally weird.

LOL! Then the mom says something like, “She thinks he’s cute, she just didn’t want to say that.”

Yeah, I would have to agree. It wasn’t very good at all. And for the first time I really, really heard her lisp.

She did sing that during British week and Lakisha sang that Diamonds song.

That’s the way I remembered it. Sometimes these weeks seem to run together. Lakisha was awful that night too.

Paula Abdul “Diva” Antics Not Welcomed at Airport 4/18/07
http://www.celebrityspider.com/news/april07/article041807-5.html
American Idol judge Paula Abdul reportedly threw a “diva-like” tantrum while boarding an airplane recently (Apr07), telling fellow passengers she was “too famous” to queue.
Abdul was boarding a Southwest Airlines flight from San Jose to Burbank, California, when she reportedly demanded to be given special treatment and board the aircraft first.
Eyewitnesses claim the star pushed her way to the front of a queue of waiting passengers as one disgruntled commuter shouted, “You’re no Sanjaya (American Idol contestant popular for his lack of talent)! You have to board like everyone else.”
A source tells The Scoop, “She pulled a major diva trip. The other passengers were not amused. She asked to be let on the plane and seated first.”
Abdul’s spokesman has refused to comment.

As erratic as her behavior has seemed to be recently I’d be surprised if she lasts more than another season. I really liked Lulu. I thought she was fantastic & would fit in that spot just fine.

Did Pickler win anything?
I don't think so. I didn't catch the whole thing, but the CMTs is pretty much a "video" award show - best female video (Carrie) - best male video (Kenny Chesney) - best group video (Rascal Flatts) - best overall video (Carrie, again) - best video direction (Carrie's video director), etc...
