If Sanjaya doesnt go this week...I dont know, it just REALLY is getting ridiculous. He won't get the boot this week, I don't think. (Chris R. will likely have to go before him). But if Sucky isn't at least in the bottom three this week, then ...

He did! I was impressed. I think he will last at least another week. Don’t expect to see him in the bottom 3 this time.

I agree....Ive sat here for the past two days crying off and on...and then I get a call from a friend today (whos son is going to VT in the fall) and a friend of ours daughter was shot - twice - in a limb (she didnt know where) and one that grazed her head....she came out of surgery in good shape so hopefully will come out of this ok (at least physically)....a good friend of mine retired as commandant of cadets at VT - I e-mailed him yesterday but havent heard back yet. All my thoughts and prayers are with those kids and their families....being able to watch AI and chat with you guys helps a lot.... So sad. ((((Hugs)))))

NO it’s not. This song is from the ‘90’s if I remember right. It got little to no airplay. Country that doesn’t sound like country. She appears to have skirted it again. Doing a song within her style & calling it the theme of that week like she did with the British Invasion theme. It comes across a little arrogant or disrespectful to me.

He should be in the bottom 3. But I agree. I think Chris has a problem.

Hi! I'm still here :)
As for Chris R. saying this, "Nasally is a form of singing, I don't know if you know that," what a load of bull s&*t! This guy is a calculating, manipulative jerk.
So true. Wait until you see the smug-a$$ expression on his face. Completely inappropriate for him to act like that, especially tonight.
He just barely toned down the smugness when he mentioned V-Tech. Sickening.
(Melinda) She's got a really good voice, but she lacks any sense of the musical era in which she lives. She also lacks charisma. All in all, over the weeks she's become stale and uninteresting, and even more than a little bit annoying.
I'm bored with her too. She was technically great tonight, but it was nothing surprising.
The only surprising part was Simon telling her not to look surprised--LOL

I think Kiki rides the bus, too.
However...I have this nagging feeling that it just may be Bandana Boy. Call me crazy but it's true. Has America finally said--enough already?

she is a backup singer...so she technically isnt an amateur...Oh I know. The judges just don't have anything new to say to Melinda week after week, so they keep calling her a pro.

Please let it be so. It’s always cute for a while. But it’s not anymore.

BTW, I've come to the conclusion that Melinda is not a great singer. She's got a really good voice, but she lacks any sense of the musical era in which she lives. She also lacks charisma. All in all, over the weeks she's become stale and uninteresting, and even more than a little bit annoying.I wouldn't go that far, but I don't think she is Idol material. Jordin IMO, from a marketing point of view IS Idol material.

LOL...that is bad when the judges have nothing new to say.
She could lose...because she was so consistently good...but, everyone gets bored with her.
Okay...here is my “problem” with Melinda...she doesn’t say “IDOL” to me.
I don’t think of her as headlining a show! Maybe none of them do that to me really...but, Melinda is too “the same”.
I am not making sense..but that isn’t unusual. LOL

I think the judges are beginning to tire of her too. They keep calling her a pro because they just don't have anything else to say.

And it doesn't help that Phil had a strong night ...

Why such loathing of Melinda?
She’s made the most of every asset.
Her depth is extraordinary ~ pure joy.

Okay...here is my problem with Melinda...she doesnt say IDOL to me. Exactly!
If she wins, she'll get the applause and the confetti and the fireworks, but I can't see any enthusiasm behind it. I mean, she can go make albums now--she doesn't need to win the show.
But Jordin and Blake do need to win, I think, and the audience will be behind either of them if they do, more so than Melinda.

Hasn’t Jordan sung backup as well for a Christian musician? Can’t remember who at the moment.

Melinda was a hot babe tonite. Tina Turner indeed. Great performance.
