I think the opposite. It makes Rudy hip. It humanizes him. It suggests that he is willing to get laughs at himself, for a good cause. The folks who are uptight about this kind of thing, are ever thinner on the ground. No candidate trying to siphon votes from Rudy is going to get near this one, for that reason, unless well, maybe somebody runs, who is apparently not. I will leave it at that.

Cutting to the chase. Rudy is LIKABLE and not only likable, he is already well liked by a whole lot of Americans who remember him for his leadership on and after 9/11.

He is a tireless campaigner for GOP candidates and his face and demeanor are ones optimism, strength and leadership.

He's a WOT warrior and he's been a stalwart supporter of POTUS. I posted his 2004 speech at the convention on a couple of threads the other day. The man can articulate and he's one who doesn't have to first say to himself "how will this sound?" before he speaks his mind and heart.

I won't mind at all, if he wins the GOP nomination, but I am not one of his supporters at this juncture. I have yet to choose my favorite. I always wait to see the first of the candidate debates before I make my choice.

I don't think the pictures help Rudy, but I doubt they're a death knell.

If I were in the Rudy camp I'd be much more concerned about the USA Today survey that determined 80% of Republican voters are unaware that he is pro-abortion and pro-gay civil unions. As of now Rudy is all image and I'll be interested to see what happens when that 80-20 split turns around.

I'm sure Hillary's team will have a lot more than some photos of Rudy in drag to work with. Just today I came across an article about Rudy appointing a political crony of one of his allies in Albany to run Jacobi Hospital. He was forced to resign when word got out that he had previously been dismissed from the same hospital for mismanagement and he had written a character reference for a member of the Genovese crime family.
