I'm tired of seeing the same thing posted ad nauseum on every Rudy Guiliani thread. I haven't made up my mind, however I personally like Rudy's take charge attitude after 9/11.

"So, then, you would claim that mediocre speakers have a good shot at being president?"

Yep, judging by the current President I would say yes.

"Are you really sure you want to continue down this path?"

Sure, why not. First you take me out of context and now you ask me a question that refutes your position. Let's keep going!!!!

This is a partial transcript from "Hannity & Colmes," July 20, 2005...

COLMES: Now, on abortion — now, you are pro-choice, right?

GIULIANI: Yes.

COLMES: You're a pro-choice Republican.

GIULIANI: I am.

~snip~

COLMES: Now, Roe vs. Wade -- You are pro-choice. How important is it to you as a pro-choice Republican to have a pro-choice on the court as someone...

GIULIANI: That is not the critical factor. And what's important to me is to have a very intelligent, very honest, very good lawyer on the court. And he fits that category, in the same way Justice Ginsburg fit that category.

I mean, she was — she maybe came at it from a very different political background, very qualified lawyer, very smart person. Lots of Republicans supported her. I expect, and listening to Senator Nelson, I expect that John Roberts will get support from a lot of Democrats.

Looks like the mods took care of it for you. BTW, you may want to take some of your own advice on that one.

You seem extra cranky tonight, I hope everything is OK for you.

The comment is gone. Maybe now we can try civility and facts.

"A knock on Hunter is that his speaking style needs work, so you cannot hold both positions simultaneously."

Talking like Gomer Pile didn't stop Bush from getting elected twice. The secret is getting weak opponents, like having a schedule that includes the Lions (twice, the Browns, Raiders, Texans, etc.

Yeah, he did do a good job after 9/11! Also with his speaking enagagments afterward, which netted him several million in fees.

So he crossdresses for money. Cool. In NYC. Not in Iowa.

I'm sick to death of reading the same crap over and over from you people.

Who could learn about a candidate with all this crap posted on here.

But I suspect that's your mission here.

And don't lecture me.

They were for charity events.

Now, name the charity. Once again, it wasn't the Boy Scouts or the Red Cross.

Rudy doing this was up there with Kerry's bunny suit photo op. Really dumb.

Blasphemy? You're not Irish are you, because it's common when one is completely exasperated to utter the phrase. Like I said, please just knock it off, we've all read the negative facts.

This was but one of many incidents where Rudy battled the liberal establishment, and the New York Times.

Two of his enemies sworn to defeat him and bring him down are The NY Times and the ACLU.

Good, because that was not something a reasoned adult would post here, especially after deriding others for being uncivil.

Reminds me of my ex-wife, one set of rules for her, one for everyone else.

He called Ginsberg intelligent and a good lawyer. So what? I don't care for Bill Clinton but I'll admit he is very intelligent. He was a Rhodes scholar after. Calling someone intelligent and a good lawyer doesn't mean they agree with their ideology. You are really grasping for straws there. See Post 50 and 113.

Do NOT presume to try and control me. And calling me names (as you did in your freepmail to me) is bad form. Grow up, if you can.
