Do you feel better having to be a brat making such a pointless post? So sorry I made a typo after not sleeping for 48 hours. Buzz off. If you're really a conservative you'd be upset too and not hacking at me.

Okay. Sorry I bit your head off. I'm feeling better now, just really needed that few hours to get that out. I didn't want to carry that around. Thanks for understanding. :) I appreciate it.

Just a little historic perspective..... Ronald Reagan never had a Republican Congress.

He did have bluedog Democrats who voted for Reaganomics and some of whom did change parties.

Yeah, I think "teaching the party a lesson" is going to backfire big time in this case.

How you can construe what I said stomping feet and holding breath is amazing. I did nothing of the sort, not even close. I called it like I saw it, and didn't play with words. It's hardly a fit. Just because you don't agree with me doesn't make me not right. You're in a minority here. Deal with it.

And I was young when he was in office but I don't remember the rabid hatred from the media and left that I see with Bush. Protesters along Regan's funeral procession route held up signs that said "Regan burn in H#ll" but I don't remember that kind of thing when he was actually in office. It shows you how hateful the left has become over the last 20 years.

Judicial appointments can backfire...We've had republican presidents nominate and get confirmed justices who turned out to be liberal after all...and it could happen the other way around.

I recall a little anecdote about some Republican Congressman/politician complaining to Henry Hyde about the American voters electing Clinton to office in 1992. Hyde smiled and said: "Never question the wisdom of the American Voter."

2 years later we won the majorities of both houses of congress after the american people realized who they put in the White House.

So, I'm with Hyde.

Reagan was vilified while in office.

I slept just fine last night, thank you very much. Given your childish temper tantrum of a post, it sounds like you didn't. You got what you deserved---sleep with that, if you can.

I only hope that Pence and Tancredo are the type of Republicans that grab the party and jerk it from the RINOs and secularists that didn't do enough to keep all conservative voters, and helped enable them to desert the party and cost the Congress.

Well this "conservative retard" has had to hold his nose while voting straight Republican for the past few election cycles (including yesterday).

Did you moderate "Republicans" really think you could abandon the conservative base without eventually losing the conservative base?

Maybe conservatives just got tired of being to the Republicna Party what African-Americans are to the Democrat Party.

Yes you are childish. I was venting, you chose to engage personally. I was speaking generally about not one single individual by name. You took it on yourself to come at me personally. No one made you read my post. Certainly no one made you reply. No one but you.

I'm thinking about all that also. That's why this angered me so much. Alot was at stake, and most voters dropped the ball while the miltiary is abroad fighting the worse enemy in three generations.

It's hard to be optimistic right now, BUT I am able to muster the pittiful little hope that SOMEHOW the 49 Republicans in the Senate can somehow force a SC nominee to the floor for a vote, even if it's a strong conservative Scalia/Thomas type. The Democrats don't have the capital to block a constructionist justice. They know most American prer a Scalia to a Ginsberg. It was their liberal justices who made it legal for government to take people's homes and give it to business that can make a buck with it, not Alito types that did that. It would sure have been a lot easier to do it before with 55 seats.

What you need to that this forum is one of the most important if not THE most important conservative forums in the known universe (not an exaggeration, think about it.) And that the "blogosphere" is a reported-on, watched part of the political landscape.

You know what that means? It means the things we say and do get read by important people. It means the things we say and do get reported on and reprinted. Sometimes things we say and do get used against us to make us look silly.

This isn't 1998 anymore. Posting on this forum, in my opinion, comes with a responsibility. It may be anonymous, but it's a public forum, and what we do reflects on everyone.

So when you throw a silly tantrum, putting it in print for the world to see, you subject the entire forum to be judged by your behavior. And sorry, buddy, but the language you used, the tone of your post, left quite a lot to be desired.

I know you don't want to hear it, and I probably started off on the wrong foot and so now yer dug in and won't listen, but you need to man up big time. You need to be a man and represent with dignity, grace, and courage. You need to be an example for others that conservatives don't fold when things don't go our way. We don't bitch. We don't complain. We take thoughtful action with faith in the future we can create.

I respect and understand that you needed to vent, but you didn't need to broadcast it here, to the world. Sometimes my wife really pisses me off. Shall I go out in the street and shout about it? Shall I write a letter to the editor of my local paper and tell everyone about it? Should I post a rant on a website?? Man up, already. Be a man. Be strong. Suck it up and deal. Thanks for listening. Sorry I started off on the wrong foot. I shouldn't have been flippant with you. Take it for what it's worth. I got nothing else to say.

What percentage of conservative voters stayed home or voted libertarian?

I'll wait patiently for your data.
