Since under the FairTax there will be no "coming after" any taxpayer at all. It will be the taxpayer by his own consumption decisions that will determine the tax he pays, not any sort of punitive collection activity as at present.

I am talking about when they reinstitute the income tax on top of the sales tax due to massive revenue shortfalls with the FairTax plan. This is not a new concern of mine and it is contained in many posts that you have responded to. See, I pay a lot of income and payroll tax, and I think that under the FairTax it is likely that I would again end up paying a lot of income tax after it fails. Get it?

You couldn't be more wrong about my financial situation or my tax burden. And my supposedly admitted habits are another figment of your imagination. Which isn't a surprise.

And if these non-profit expenses are not taxed under the fairtax, then why doesn't Kotlikoff account for these expenditures and subtract them from the tax base. Kotlikoff keeps those expenditures as part of the fairtax base as TAXABLE, he never removes them.

"Get it? "
Oh, absolutely ... got it!!

You merely dream up a fanciful scenario that no one has been able to show in any sort of economic study. In fact every real economic study made on the FairTax shows it to help most taxpayers, greatly expand the economy, and boost the level of individual savings and investment.

But of course YOU know better!!! Got it!!!

"You couldn't be more wrong about my financial situation or my tax burden."

Hey trooper, you're the one blubbering about your tax burden - not me. I think its just fine you'll either have to pay tax on your consumption (rather than hiding it by some quirk in the income tax) or change your habits to be less of a big spender. Go cry in your own milk.

This is exactly why you have no crediblity on these boards. You Assume!! What revenue shortfalls? Where is your economic data? Where is there a single economist who backs you up? Gale? He is paid by the income tax people. THere are links that have been repeatedly posted that show economists who predict massive growth. WHat happens with massive growth, Rob? HUH? It creates massive income and spending and jobs. WHat happens then?

And I have asked you repeatedly to show me a single economist that backs up your oft repeated claims that the 23% tax would create massive inflation instantly. You have failed to respond.

And, as I have told you over and over, your anti economists would glom onto the inflation factor with relish to disparage the FairTax. Yet none have. The imagination you have is exceptional, but when it is used to misrepresent, then you are nothing more than a shill trying to distort the truth for whomever you may believe is reading. So sad that you have to resort to the tactics of the Howard Deans of the world. Is there any greater evidence?

PLEASE start backing up your claims with something of substance.

This isn't hard. Links are your friends.

I think this is the point in the thread in which I ask about your qualifications in the area of economics and you acknowledge that you have none, but then deny making any economic forecasts.

That saved a lot of back and forth posting, didn't it?
