Is it really so hard to understand that withholding makes people complacent and that our "progressive" tax system takes responsibility/accountability away from a huge % of the populace leading to apathy... So abolish withholding and quit blithering about a NRST.

How would that help the progressiveness of the income tax? How would that ensure that everyone pay some tax (including illegals?)
