I believe unless any of us have had a gun to our heads, we have no idea how we would react. Most of us would instinctually do whatever the gunman dictated. It's nice to think we would do differently, but I bet the majority of us would FLEE as fast as our feet could take us if told to leave.
I heard she was pregnant. For all we know, the gunman may have told her to leave and if she didn't he would shoot the children.
We really cannot fairly second-guess any of the innocent persons who were in that schoolroom. Frankly, it wouldn't even occur to me to do so and it disgusts me that some people would.
I am so heart-broken over what has happened to that community ... and by extension to children all over this country ... more loss of innocence.
