I would imagine that the news will report on services for the dead and that they will mention the church where it will be held.

I suggest you send your card there.

If you want to send a card, send it to the school. Even the local post office will get it to the school. Their church, funerals and weddings are all held in their homes, not in a church building, so there would be no church to send it to.

I used to put together the Amish newspaper for Lancaster County, and according to their local correspondents, they do appreciate giving and receiving card showers. Keep in mind a religious card or a hand-written letter would be most appropriate. They would not have any use for other types of sympathy gifts such as figurines, pictures, or jewelry, etc.
