This is not a public school. There were 27 children K-8. It is a small schoolhouse. Someone could break into anyone's home and hold them hostage. This schoolhouse is probably as big as many homes that children are schooled in. Pretty close to home schooling. Actually, it shows that no one is above these incidents. Actually, it reminds me of the home-school co-op's I used to attend when I was in grade school.
You're right. No one is safe.

Excellent excellent point. And unbelievably, I never considered it...even though intruder alerts were even done as drills when I worked at the hospital.
Our homeschool co-op is BIG...and meets in a church. An open, non-secure location...
The public schools have more security.
