On that note, I'd have to agree. I think we as a society need to change the way we're taught to deal with these situations. But if the most effective way of dealing with it required that we renounce our most sacred beliefs, most of us would reject those methods. I have no problem meeting violence with violence, but then, I don't believe that's a sin. The Amish do. They're not going to change that. They gradually accept changes, but that's just too much to ask.

They don't have to arm but they can teach the kids to run. They will probably change things where it will be much harder to reach their kids. If they as a group aren't able arm , there are other things they can do.
