Update 2: Pennsylvania Police: Amish School is 'Horrendous Crime Scene' After Shooting
NICKEL MINES, Pa. At least two female students and one slightly older female who may have been a teacher's aide were shot and killed execution style in what police say may be a revenge killing for something that happened 20 years ago.
State Police Commissioner Jeffrey Miller said Monday that truck driver Charles Carl Roberts IV entered the one-room Amish schoolhouse in earlier in the day. The gunman brought in pieces of wood to board up the doors to the building when he entered the school. He also stacked desks against the building's doors.
"It appears that the suspect entered school with the intention of taking hostages," Miller said.
Roberts had wire ties and plastic flex cuff, which he used to begin tying the hostages feet together after they were lined up along a blackboard. He let go 15 male students, as well as one adult female who was pregnant. Three other non-student females with infants were also allowed to leave. One shotgun and one handgun was found next to the suspect when police entered the building.
"It seems as though he wanted to attack young, female victims," Miller said.
After a half hour inside, Roberts began shooting. When the gunfire stopped, three females were found shot dead at the scene, along with the suspect, who shot himself, Miller said. At least seven more victims some critically wounded were transported to nearby hospitals, he said. One victim, a young girl, died in the arms of a trooper, Miller said. He could not confirm how many people died en route or at the hospital. The county coroner earlier reported six children killed but then backed off of that statement.

Prayers out for the victims of this innocent community.
FRmail me to be added or removed from this Judaic/pro-Israel/Russian Jewry ping list.
Warning! This is a high-volume ping list.
"...It makes me sick that you are more worried about keeping your damn guns then you are about innocent 7 year old girls be gunned down. Spare me I am a RINO? I wear the horn with pride. Meanwhile in the last week 7 little innocent girls are now dead. Hope you feel good about keeping your guns..."
Wow, I don't even know where to begin dissecting your breathless post. Perhaps a few questions are in order:

It is my understanding (limited as it may be) that the Amish are not opposed to medical care such as surgery, emergency services, life saving procecures.
What you are saying, in your emotionally charged and therefore knee-jerk reaction to this sickening event, is that you are ready to allow criminals to dictate what rights are allowed the law-abiding. Predictably, one person commits a crime and the tools are erroneously blamed, and then the cry goes out to punish millions of people who didn't do it. Can you rationally validate this argument? No.
I own guns for the same reason that police own guns. Regardless of whether or not I am officially anointed by the State is irrelevant. Despite what you have been indoctrinated to believe, there is no difference.
If I had been in the vicinity of this crime, I would have taken active steps to prevent it, armed or not, regardless of the armed status of the adversary, bare-handed if necessary, with guns, preferably. I've done it in the past, and will do it in the future if need be. The mind is the weapon; all the rest are merely tools.
What causes school shootings? I'm not sure, but I think it's a switch in the perps noggin that just "flips" on or off by some stray neuron firing. This guy was obviously mentally damaged.
In some countries and cultures, they would "eliminate" all the perp's children if he had any. Not to exact an "eye for an eye" mind you, but because they figured out that they could eliminate the "sicko defect" which he obviously carried. They don't want it passed on. That's a bad policy. However, I do give them credit for trying.
If teachers packed...
The metrosexuals on fox and friends just made some 100% ignorant anti-gun statements.
You would think they were flaming left wingers. Who needs an ak47? Apparently his "arsenal" consisted of a pistol, a shotgun, and a rifle.
This just points out that there is a DESPERATE NEED to continue personel changes at Fox and Friends in order to clean out these illiterates about the second amendment.
Hey, Why don't you go and give up your constitutional rights elsewhere? Don't even think you can shove that BS down the throats of lawful gun owners.
If the right lawful gunowner was in the right place in this instance(read: everywhere), this defective "thing" would have been ventilated at the door of the school.
Please crusade elsewhere.
If more decent people in general packed...

I agree with you, though I won't go into what I think animates the Left ultimately, and how I think it is the same evil that animates the school shooter.
But my point was about how the media "advertises" this stuff -- even if partly inadvertently -- and is the very cause of the "copycat" phenomena; and it troubled times like ours, is an agent of malicious suggestion.
Good fences make good neighbors; an armed society is a polite society, etc.
You demonstate your ignorance. This was a WACKO he would have been mixing explosives in his kitchen and strapping them to his body.
The issue here is not guns or the laws that protect the "unalienble rights".
Saying you are a proud rino is the same as saying you are a proud eunach. You are meaningless to the future.
Gun control only keeps the weapons out of the hands of law abaing citizens.
Besides, how do you explain that when loaded guns were kept above the door in homes across this country as an act of responsibility and kids learned how to use them at an early age, for most of this country's history, we didn't have this kind of nonsense. It's not the guns!
So, with that kind of *logic* let's get rid of forks and spoons because they make people fat since they're used to eat with. DUH!
Amendment II
A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.
The framers of the Constitution recognized that without the ability to protect ones self, people were subject to tyranny.
The monster put his own children on the bus that morning, called them back as they were climbing aboard, and hugged them saying "remember daddy loves you".
His grudge also apparently had nothing to do with the Amish, it was with girls, and he chose these little ones as a close target of opportunity.
Your post makes 100% complete sense. Thanks for the pro-RKBA and pro-Constitution bump. I'm always puzzled when statists wish to be FReepers for some peculiar reason.

Thank you for the ping. I've been praying and crying for these families. (Crying out, really.)
May the Lord protect them and keep them in His heart, as He wills.
I can't imagine anything more heinous than attacking the daughters of a peaceful people who try to live their beliefs.
A drunk driver killed 3 people this past weekend. Should I feel guilty about keeping my car?
Just my opinion...
