Mother died of Alzheimer's about a year ago.

Sorry to hear that. I can truly sympathize.

And, at almost 60 years old, I've been tucking myself in for quite some time.

You are now one of the elders in your family. It is a huge responsibility (been there, doing that).

Perhaps it is time to begin examining reality, and to start accepting the world as it really is. You are now the example for the following generations. As I said, it is a huge responsibility.

I'm responsible for an elder parent with Alzheimer's Disease. It's a difficult journey.

Thanks for your kind, caring words.

Accepting the world as it is . . . is going to become startlingly difficult before too awfully long.

And the rate of change is going to accelerate astronomically.

Maintaining one's sanity in the midst of that will require a close relationship with God. Nothing else will be sufficient, imho.

Men's hearts failing them for fear will be the norm. Everyone will know someone who's died of fright from increasingly daily events.

Thanks for your kind and fitting exhortations.
