Your source is wrong about one thing, basically, the decades-long fruit fly tests they ran in the first half of the 1900s actually was a test of the theory of evolution and the entire idea of macroevolution, and evolution clearly failed the test.

Maybe the experiment wasn't scientific.....reading my high school or college biology textbook I would have never guessed that the fruit flies wouldn't eventually change into other distinguishable flies, then house flies, then ants, bees, frogs, and birds, and polar bears and people, just give it enough time and enough fruit fly population changes.....or maybe the parts of the my biology textbooks aren't very scientific they are actually religious in nature complete with missing link myths and prebiotic soup fairy tales.
