Unfortunately, James Hirsen of Newsmax has already drunk the Gibson kool-aide claiming that he "exonerated himself". What I sense is a statement written by a publicist. Hirsen points to the bad behaviour and bigotry of certain libs - which we all know about. Their rotten behaviour does not justify Gibson's crummy behaviour.

I agree. But Libs will join in hanging Gibson, pointing out his conservative leanings (in the past at least), while staying silent on their own hate-mongering wing.

Conservatives are more principled when it comes to castigating their own. We're the ones with Senate rules that allowed Tom DeLay to be railroaded out of leadership by Dems. Etcetera. And what I'm saying is, it might be useful to tie Gibson's statements to similar ones from extreme leftists who always seem to get away with it. If Gibson's got to go, how about that rabid anti-semite Sheehan? How about Chomsky, their intellectual guru? How about Annan in the UN? How about the dopes at Harvard who blamed a cabal of Jews in our government (code word: neocon) for essentially all the wars going on?

Gibson is a perfect way for libs to have their cake and eat it too (ie. blame Jews and lay it on conservatives)
