The logic is central to collectivist governments of all stripes, and we have that going in spades today.
Authoritarian government (ours, for the prominent example of the day) is ever on guard against its primary rival -- God. We see all around us the government war on Christian belief and government support for a godless, amoral Darwinian view. Hitler Germany followed both of these same scripts to the letter.
Darwinism is the Law of the Jungle writ large. Survival of the fittest, survival of the strongest, might makes right. In Germany, it was the Master Race versus the subhumans (Untermenschen).
Here it will be billed as the taxpayer versus old folks who are a cost burden to others (whether they pay their own way or not). Senior citizens, the disabled, babies born with handicaps, unwanted babies -- they are weak, they are expensive, they are useless eaters. They should all go die.
