"On the other hand, even if Terri's odds of survival would only have been 1 in 100"

Ah. But they weren't. The doctor never said there was a 1% chance of survival on oral hydration -- he said there was 0%. Three times over three years he said zero percent.

Three times over three years he said zero percent.

What was he asked to decide, and for what reason? And what exactly did he say?

Also, what harm could have befallen Terri from having a doctor try to give her water that would have been any worse than the certain harm she faced without such efforts?

You are wasting a lot of time discussing the feeding tube. The truth is that Terri WAS SURVIVING with the feeding tube and she breathed on her own.

Withholding nutrition and hydration SHOULD NOT BE AN INSTRUMENT OF DEATH/MURDER.

The discussion about her survivability without a feeding tube is moot. She was SURVIVING WITH IT. She wasn't an experiment. She was a human being. I know this goes waaaay over your head.
