It's disturbing to me that those who claim to be Christians (meaning that they believe the Bible is the inspired word of God) can also believe that God flat out lied in Genesis.You can't have it both ways. Either God did what He said or He is a liar.
Given that I have yet to encounter a Christian who accepts evolution who claims that God lied in Genesis, it would appear that your statement is false.
