Note the last phrase. That phrase says which definition is "especially" pertinent. For you to claim that there is no connection between the word "traitor" and an accusation of "treason" is simply specious. You offered the definition, yourself. The word "traitor" "especially" applies to "one who commits treason."

If you need to have an English teacher explain how commas and the word "or" relates to that full definition, ("One who betrays one's country, a cause, or a trust, especially one who commits treason"), try going to your local grade school and asking for help. You are embarrassing yourself.
