I think a better question is, does the word "Bushbot" have a place on a conservative forum?
I don't like Jeb Bush blurring the issue on the immigration debate. That does not add clarity to the problem, nor does it move accomodation between the two sides forward.
In the same vein, flinging "Bushbot" at the other side causes the same problem. And Mineral Man is correct that casually using the term "treason" does the same.
We will have to respectfully disagree.

Not to be too technical, the word I objected to was "traitor." I consider it tantamount to an accusation of treason, but that wasn't the word posters were using on this thread.
I don't like "Bushbot," either. I don't like "Limbot," either. All of those words, like "traitor," are imprecise and are just generic insults...used by those who do not have the capacity to argue their case effectively and accurately.
Using such shortcut labels is the mark of a weak argument, in my opinion.
Perhaps "Bushbot" wouldn't be used if the "other side" stopped telling people that they "never voted Republican" and stopped calling people names for deciding to vote on principle instead of voting for the least repugnant choice.
I have voted GOP since the first election in which I was allowed to vote. I will now vote for the most conservative choice available. If there IS no conservative choice, I won't fill that portion of the ballot.
The number of people on this forum who don't recognize or won't admit to a HUGE backlash amongst formerly loyal GOP voters is astounding.
