Having volunteered in both 2000 and 2004 for GWB and the GOP, I am utterly disgusted with what is going on.
This proposed plan is absolutely a sham. Without shutting down the border, we will just get a whole new flood of illegals to undermine those now who must pay taxes and work on the books.
Without strict enforcement, this plan will just invite millions more to flood the country since the employers will be looking to save on workers comp, FICA, SS, etc.
It won't end as long as people feel frustrated by their leaders. It's pretty normal human reaction to situations over which they have no control. People are venting. No one should be surprised. I don't like the name calling either, but I do understand where it comes from. BTW, I see it on both sides.
