What's this "(saw)" after the mention of Muhammad? This is new to me.

Muslims are required to say "Peace Be Upon Him" or (pbuh) after every time they mention his name. SAW is probably an abbreviation in a different language.

When they use the name of the Prophet they're correctly supposed to write it like this: ". . .Mohammed (peace be upon him)". "Saw" is an abbreviation for "peace be upon him" in English characters.
