I always thought we are told to be tolerant of other peoples beliefs and their world views. All are equal unless it involves God.
I'm not saying we shouldn't be respectful of creation accounts, but we can be respectful without teaching them in science class.

I forgot to add the sarcasm but I am sure you got that. Never really have found in all my reading where evolution is scientifically proven. The evolution crowd still can't get around creating something from nothing though. I can't find a way around that one to start let alone the complexities of the universe.

Much as I loath to touch this tar baby topic, I would like to point out that no scientific theory has ever, nor ever will be "proven". They can be "disproven" -- but never, ever, proven. This is a fundamental tenet of science and the "scientific method". I'm not taking sides in this debate -- but if it is ever to be settled on the basis of "science"; then everyone engaged in the debate should understand what "science" means.
