National Sheriff's Association Joins Holloway Investigation
Texas Company To Send Deep Diving Equipment To Aruba

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- More than 3,000 law enforcement agencies across the United States are volunteering to help find Natalee Holloway.

One of the largest law enforcement groups in the U.S., the National Sheriff's Association, has decided to join the investigation into Holloway's disappearance eight months ago. The association is sending the Aruban government an official letter.

"We would like to see transparency in that investigation and also reach out to offer resources that local law enforcement agencies might have," said Ted Sexton, president of the National Sheriff's Association.

The association can pool the resources of more than 3,000 departments. Sexton said that its members have a collection of some of the best technology in the world. The association is offering to Aruba soil-penetrating sonar, expert dive teams and deep water equipment.

"We want to bring those crimes to a finalized settlement, whether it be a criminal case or whatever it may be," Sexton said.

Holloway's mother, Beth Twitty, said police recently received a tip about a coastal area near the California Lighthouse. Twitty said she is guardedly optimistic.

"Aruba has done things in the past just to look like they're doing something. I hope this search is warranted and credible and not an exercise in futility," Twitty said.

I know Tim is a good guy. I don't have any doubt about his integrity and sincerity. What I do have doubt about is what will happen once he makes the trip and arrives there with all that equipment. Will he suddenly "require" a permit? Will the person issuing permits be UNavailable? We'll see. I'm not convinced that Natalee is there anyway. It would be nice. But I still have the feeling that Natalee has been put in a place that will NEVER be allowed to be searched. I hope I'm wrong.

HA! Let's see how Aruba LE "handle" THIS letter and request. It will be interesting for sure. I would LOVE for them to use their soil penetrating equipment to look in the graveyard(s), dump, VDS well and the rest of the property, use their specialized equipment underwater all the way to Venezuala if necesary. Every inch of that Island could be penetrated without picking up a shovel.

This is what I mean when I state that Aruba has a monkey on their back. They CAN'T get rid of this case, they can't bury it, UNLESS they PRODUCE a body or a skeleton or something. They MUST produce Natalee. She didn't go into thin air, her blood was already in the Kalpoe car probably within an hour of leaving C & C's. Truth is, WHATEVER they do, it always leads back to VDS's and Kalpoe's and then by extension those in LE who covered up. Remember that Van der Straaten already admitted that Natalee was dead. I believe they have had her body since the first night or the day after.

It would be interesting to see a copy of the letter. I think this National Sheriff's Association is the one Beth spoke to and gave a slide presentation to recently in Palm Springs, CA. If I remember right, she spoke to a packed audience and got a standing ovation.

I think Barbados is the island Greta was referring to when she said Aruban police had received a tip and were racing off to possibly find Natalee alive.

I could be wrong about Barbados being the island in question.

Maybe the Aruban police just want to talk to the FBI stationed on Barbados. Or, maybe it is just more Aruban nonsense.
