Yep, same name. I don't know if she's a consultant for the show, though. I imagine she would be but I don't know for sure. Thanks, Teri.
Interesting google search.
Very creative show.
Those who would call her a witch, it seems,
have forgotten some stories of biblical dreams,
of troubled kings and nasty drought,
and Joseph who saved them and figured it out.
Truth is a vision of sensitive thought...
a gift of discernment some prophets have got.
Those who burned witches at Salem's stake,
would've even cursed Jesus, for goodness sake.

Lady, you are completely out of your field. Having dreams from the Lord can be Biblical, however, consulting a medium (WITCH) is clearly demonic.
Was there a cult of the dead in ancient Israel? The Deuteronomistic legal material in the Hebrew Bible reveals restrictions against consulting the dead (Deut 18:911): presumably presenting offerings to the dead (Deut 26:14), and engaging in certain practices associated with death rituals such as self-laceration (Deut 14:1; but cf. Jer 16:6; 41:5) which seem to have been typical of Canaanite death cult practice. The Holiness Code also contains categorical prohibitions against people who turn to necromancy and demands the death penalty for any mediums or necromancers (Lev 20:6, 27)

Showing my ignorance (and being a bit OT), doodlelady, but did you write that poem? Its neat.
I've grappled with this topic because I had a great aunt who had some kind of ability to foresee. She had a regular job, regular family, etc., but sometimes things would come to her in an inexplicable way. The subject of her abilities and from whence they came, led to a few family and in-law rifts. She didn't ask for "visions" or anything, they just came to her. At times, they disturbed her as well because sometimes the things she "saw" were unpleasant. She passed away many years ago, at a very old age, and I pray she did not suffer over what might have been a gift rather than sorcery or such. I knew her as a good, compassionate and charitable woman with a fun sense of humor who never harmed anyone and I think of her often. I am sure that she would have tried to help the Holloway/Twitty families in any way she could, even if it was just a donation or a card, etc.
On a funny note though, she once told me that my life would be filled with furs. I took that to mean I would be "rich, rich, rich!" It never occurred to me that she might have meant dogs! I have been very rich and very blessed with several canine companions and have had absolutely no attraction to wearing furs at all!
"Not that there's anything wrong with that!"
