That, or Natalee tried to call them. The new Croes guy gave them the info on the address it came from. Beth could have said "kidnapping", because the kids at the hotel said they saw Natalee get into a taxi, after saying she was going back to the hotel. Natalee probably believed she was getting into a taxi.
