I had the same question - why hasn't he just divorced her? I learhed this morning that under Florida law, you cannot divorce a spouse who can't provide verbal assurance that they are aware you are divorcing them.
I had thought that there was a proceeding on this very issue, and Michael refused to grant a divorce.
