I heard the Pinellas police were called Nazi thugs and was stunned.

Since when did conservatives of any kind call our law enforcement such names? Had my relative been in that Hospice, I'd have been heartbroken at the last days of their lives spent in the midst of such ugliness.

As an aside, I hope everyone here heard Tom DeLay on national television say that even if Terri had said she didn't want to be kept alive in such a way, he thought it was wrong to pull the tube.

This is my fear. That our right to self determination will be taken away by our own party. This is a huge issue and it isn't going to go away as long as the GOP stands behind statements like that and doesn't distance itself immediately.

Don't get me wrong, I think that someone who is on a respirator and is clearly dead can be pulled, but, I have to say removing food and water is wrong. I think that there is no line between shooting someone and starving them.

I think this is a case of exploiting Truth for a political motive I do not buy into. Notice I can disagree with you without calling you names... :-)

Mornin' Everyone. I just started reading from #3650 on to get the gist of what everyone was saying. I agree with almost everyone.

This is my fear. That our right to self determination will be taken away by our own party.

This is my fear also. No one had better think of over-ruling my right to say No to whatever treatment I refuse! I have had an Advance Directive for at least 16 years, and my DPOA knows what I want and do not want. All my relatives know how strongly I feel about this.

No Congressperson or Judge has the right to second guess my decisions.
