and one can be lawful and feel that the wrong result is being played out here. plenty of conservative, legal pundits have expressed it much better than i can. i am sure you have read them, people that freepers know and respect on other issues. law has lead to plenty of unjust results in our history. i am sure you are familiar with those instances as well. waving THE LAW around does provide one cover, i suppose. but i find it scant comfort. and my job is the law.

I didn't say I was looking for cover...nor that it gave me comfort.
Quite the opposite in fact. But the alternatives are unacceptable to me.
