I have an honest question about that video; why do they cut if off just after the male says "Now close your eyes" or something like that?
I know it looks like Terri is just disabled, but she's not disabled. She has a flat EEG. Some doctors have said it's the worst brain damage they've ever seen.tder oath she is PVS?
Her spontanteous eye movements and gutteral sounds are consistent with someone who has PVS.
I know that every day in this country people are removed from feeding tubes. Without Living Wills. These decisions have been made between families and their doctors for years.
Considering how much money doctors make keeping people alive on tubes and machines, I think it's unfortunate that people think there is a money component for doctors in this matter. I have not found it to be a valid concern.
We can now extend life, all life, for longer and longer periods of time. And for those who wish to be kept alive indefinitely on a feeding tube or other method, please make that clear to your families. Those of us who do not wish to be kept alive in such a manner have made that clear.
I know we don't agree on this matter, and that's okay. So let's just agree to disagree, Scarlet.
