You must have started at the beginning of the thread and are working your way along. Quite a task you've set for yourself! I believe the question was, "What is the answer to life, the universe, and everything?" but it's been a very long time since I've read the book.
You're right, I am. If you recall, the answer to life, the universe and everything was 42 - but nobody remembered the question to the answer. :)
