The blowback has started. President Bush has hit an all time low in the Gallup poll. He dropped 7 points this week. His support dropped among men and churchgoers.

Not for not doing enough btw, but for getting involved in a state's rights issue. People believe that it's none of Washington's business and they want the President and Congress to fix the big problems we have. The folks that want the President and Jeb Bush to violate the constitution basically have destroyed any chance of SS reform, or any other legislation being passed for a while now. The President's political capital is shot right now, and he will need to build it back up.

I still support the President. I just wish the rabble rousers would understand that enough is enough.

I wouldn't sweat those low approval numbers, truly.

Most voters have a tiny attention span, and 18 months from now, they won't even remember Terri.

Nasty, I know, but it IS true.

I wonder exactly what it would take for some to think the federal government should care that its citizens are being killed - not allowed to die - but killed. Allowed to die means withholding medical treatment to prolong life.

With Terri they are denying food and water, the same thing that they send others to prison for doing. They are initiating death by their actions. A death that would not now be naturally occurring.

I wonder when some would think the federal government should care when a person's constitutional rights are being denied because that person cannot defend themselves?

Are we just to move out of the state when we don't agree with the state laws? What if we are being prevented from moving out of that state? Should the federal government not care?
